For more than seven years, Ahil Ganesan has worked with people from all walks of life, from desk-bound professionals to athletes, who come to him with back, neck and shoulder pain, sports injuries, fatigue, and digestive and stress-related concerns.
Ahil grew up between two worlds of medicine. His mother is a General Practitioner; his father, a lifelong advocate for natural medicine. Conversations at home moved easily between blood tests and herbal teas, and the idea that the two could work together took root early.
In his own life, that idea became personal. Ahil lived with a long-term illness and persistent neck and shoulder pain, and at times a short walk was enough to leave him housebound for days. That experience gave him a patient’s understanding of persistent pain and fatigue, and of the patience care can take.
The experience set his direction: a Bachelor of Health Science and a Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, followed by years in busy clinics in Bondi and Matraville, treating desk-bound professionals, athletes and everyone in between.
Today Ahil practises from Project Dao in Alexandria, combining acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and naturopathy in one coordinated approach: the same meeting of two worlds he grew up with.
Patient consultations delivered across more than seven years of clinical practice.
To help people take action and feel their best, physically and emotionally. Ahil believes everyone has the right to feel good.
Relief from pain matched with lasting health: treatment paired with simple exercises and lifestyle guidance so you can stay well and active.

Ahil grew up between two worlds of medicine: his mother is a General Practitioner and his father a keen advocate for natural medicine. That grounding in both conventional and complementary care shapes how he practises today.
Ahil’s own experience of long-term illness and persistent pain gives him a patient’s understanding of what it is like to live with symptoms that do not go away quickly.
Before Alexandria, Ahil worked in busy clinics in Bondi and Matraville, treating people managing long desk hours, repetitive strain and active lifestyles.
